DENVER - Rubber will hit the road as runners and walkers alike gear up for the 4th annual ERACE Homelessness 10K/5K Run and 2K Funwalk on August 29th at City Park in Denver. All proceeds benefit Senior Support Services, a non-profit agency serving low-income and homeless seniors. The public is welcome and encouraged to participate!
For over 30 years, Senior Support Services (SSS) has helped seniors in need by providing a safe place to go during the day, meals, and case management. Up to 200 seniors are served daily. This event is the primary fundraiser of the organization.
This event gets underway at 8:00 a.m. for check-in and registration, 9:00 a.m. for the actual race. The winner's circle will commence at 10:00 a.m. Great prizes await the top men and women racers, and top racers by gender and age group!
Visit www.erasehomelessness.org to register and get directions to City Park (East Colorado and North 23rd Ave. cross streets), or visit Runner's Roost to register in person.
The entry fee is $25 in advance or $30 on race day for adults, and $15 for children 17 and under and seniors 60+. The 10K/5K races are timed, Bolder Boulder qualifying races. Also, you can collect pledges. Print the pledge form off the website and bring your pledges in on race day. Prizes will be given for the three participants with the most pledges collected.
